The rain fell, black clouds blew the past away,
the ocean tried to drown the sky but all it
did was swallow pride. This is only the second
day of creation. The future is in the exhalation of
your breath. We have time still. You travel through
my veins like the river you are, the salt slick of you
seasons me. I become the Spring and all her green glory.
Your mind the candy-apple of our Eden. We intertwine.
Orange as a ripe persimmon our sun rises…
with air so heady my head is spinning! Heavy with the
perfume of blossoms. If love has a fragrance, this is it.
